For anyone finding the 2021 F1 season a little dull, with a complete lack of incidents or intrigue, your attention may be drifting towards next year. That’s certainly the story at GPGT Towers, where we’ve been keeping our beady-eyes peeled for news of when the FIA will release their 2022 calendar (provisional or otherwise).
According to F1 commentary stalwart, Joe Saward, an unofficial F1 calendar had been doing the rounds in the paddock for months; fact he leaked in mid-September. Not wishing to send any guests on holiday to discover there was no race to see, we searched in vain for any calendar with the word ‘official’ in the title. Again, we were foiled.
Then on 18th September, Racing News 365 announced that they had actually seen the provisional calendar. And it looks something like this:
Bahrain: 20-Mar
Saudi Arabia: 27-Mar
Australia: 10-Apr
Emiilia Romagna (Imola): 24-Apr
United States (Miami): 08-May
Spain: 22-May
Monaco: 29-May
Azerbaijan: 12-Jun
Canada: 19-Jun
Great Britain: 03-Jul
Austria: 10-Jul
France/Italy (Imola): 17-Jul
Hungary: 31-Jul
Belgium: 28-Aug
Netherlands: 04-Sep
Italy [Monza]: 11-Sep
Russia: 25-Sep
Singapore/Turkey: 02-Oct
Japan: 09-Oct
United States (Austin): 23-Oct
Mexico: 30-Oct
Brazil: 13-Nov
Abu Dhabi: 20-Nov
So where does this leave us (and you)? Well, in the same place we were several months ago. But if you want to see what the above looks like for our guests (on a purley provisional basis), then look no further: https://grandprixgrandtours.com/f1-packages/
